Review: Wonder Wave G-Spot Rabbit

Lumunu are a German “luxury” sex toy company looking to break through into the UK market. They are all about high quality, body safe materials and so am I, so I agreed to take a look at a few of their products and provide some honest feedback.

When my parcel arrived I was really blown away by the packaging and presentation of the toys. I know not everyone cares, but I really like it when a company goes that extra mile to present their products beautifully and make them feel special. Each toy was packed individually in Lumunu’s own branded packaging which consists of a thin white cardboard sleeve emblazoned with the companies slogan, “More Than a Toy” housing a thicker white card storage box with the product name on the lid in silver.

Inside the box is the toy nestled in a foamy cut out along with a USB charger cable, a UK USB adaptor plug (these are so handy and I got one with each toy! Also I was expecting a euro plug so this impressed me), a sachet of Lumunu’s own brand lube (which unfortunately I can’t use as I’m sensitive to glycerine), a velvety storage bag that is lined (I love a good quality storage bag!), a little card with step by step instructions on how to use the toy (and these are unique to the product, not a generic thing that goes out with all the toys like LELO’s manuals) and another little piece of paper about leaving reviews on Amazon. All of these are in English and are perfectly understandable. I love how they have made the effort to make everything totally accessible for UK customers.

Good job so far guys!

Wonder Wave Deluxe G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator

  • Silicone Coated Plastic/Waterproof/USB Rechargeable/Travel lockable/Multiple Speed & Pattern Settings
  • Insertable Length: 5 inches Circumference: 4.75 inches

Going by appearances I was pretty stoked to give this rabbit a try as it closely resembles the Swan Feather (a vibe I really got on with), only the Wonder Wave is somewhat bigger and has a large looped handle to hold on to. The silicone is nothing special. It feels kind of grainy and there is a visible seam which I can feel with my fingers but not in use. It is a very unremarkable shade of bright pinky purple which some will like, some won’t care and some will abhor. I can tolerate it but it’s not a colour I would pick myself.

The toy operates via a three button interface, very similar to (or rather, clearly ripped off from) the controls on the LELO Insignia range. There’s your standard + and – to adjust the intensity with a button in the middle controlling the pattern setting. There are 7 different settings which are again, pretty standard and nothing special.

For me, there are two really major flaws with this toy. The first I didn’t actually anticipate – this rabbit does not fit me at all. I thought it would as it’s so similar to the Feather but no – the clitoral arm completely over shoots my clit rendering it obsolete. The shaft has a bit of girth to it and does manage to hug my G-Spot a bit which is pleasant enough.

However, (flaw #2) the vibrations are absolutely useless. They are shallow, buzzy and itchy. I hate the feeling of them internally, and if the clit stim had lined up with my anatomy I’d have hated them even more as the second motor is even weaker.

Another thing I noticed was this toy does not hold its charge in storage very well. I fully charged it when I received it at the end of December, used it once (because it sucked) and left it in storage until the end of January and by then it was completely dead and needed recharging. I know most toys are only guaranteed to last maybe two months without losing power but I’ve known some of my other toys (my original Tango, OhMiBod Cuddle and iroha Sakura spring to mind) to last three or four and still at least be able to get me off once. Hmm.

Basically, this toy is pretty useless to me. I’ve suffered through using it a few times but no. It leaves me cold. It doesn’t work for me in any way. Sorry. (Not sorry).
